Conditions of Sale & Commision Fees

Commision

  1. All unsold items or fetching £6.00 or under , £1.00 per lot will be charged.
  2. All items fetching £7.00 & above 15% will be charged on total.
  3. All commision is subject to V.A.T.

Outside Effects

Any unsold lots offered for sale on the Outside Effects will be skipped unless collected by the vendor immediatly after the sale.

Conditions of Sale

Items for sale to be brought to the salerooom on Wednesday between 2 - 4.30
Unless by prior arrangement with Barry Cook Sales room manager. 

Fresh produce to be brought to KMA between 9am and 4pm on Wednesday.

  1. The highest bidder to be the purchaser, and if any dispute arise between two or more bidders as to the last or best bidding, the lot in dispute to be immediately put up again and RE-OFFERED, or the Auctioneers may declare the Purchaser.
  2. The Auctioneers reserve the right of bidding for, withdrawing, consolidating, dividing or altering the order of any Lot or Lots.
  3. The biddings to be regulated by the auctioneers.
  4. In the case of Lots upon which there is a reserve, the Auctioneers shall have the right to bid on behalf of the Seller.
  5. The Purchasers to give their names and place of abode, and if required shall, on the fall of the hammer, pay a deposite of 25% of the purchase money, in part payment thereof, in default of which the Lot will be put up again and re-sold.
  6. All Lots to be at risk of the Purchaser after the fall of the hammer and to be absolutely cleared from the premises at the purchasers expense and the whole of the purchase money paid upon day of sale.
  7. All Lots are sold subject to all faults, defects and errors of description, whether apparent or not, and without warranty or representation as to quality condition or any other matter.
  8. Lots offered outside furniture saleroom, where no bid is recieved, will be disposed of in our skip and large items will be charged for.
  9. All disputes shall be determined by the Auctioneers, whose decision shall be final and binding upon the Vendor and Purchaser.
  10. No Lots will be allowed to be removed from the premises except on the production of the receipted account.
  11. The Auctioneers will not hold themselves responsible for the correct description, genuineness, or authenticity of any Lot, nor recognise transfers from one person to another.
  12. All Lots, electrical or otherwise, shall be sold as seen, unless the Auctioneer declares such items to be in working order. Whereupon a 24 hour guarantee is given.
  13. Upon failure of complying with-the above conditions the Auctioneers shall be at liberty without previous notice to the Purchaser to RE-SELL the Lot or Lots, in dispute, either by public or private sale upon the premises or elsewhere.
